New York, NY November 9th, 2005 -- Cachaca Fazenda Mae De Ouro will be awarding two VIP guest passes to the annual RumFest event in New York by randomly selecting a name from their mailing list this Sunday November 13th, 2005.

RumFest is an annual event produced by the Polished Palate (www.polishedpalate.com) where over 85 different Rums, Rhums and Cachacas will be sampled by cane spirit aficionados, members of the press, and renowned cocktail creators like Gary Regan and Audrey Saunders. This year RumFest will be held on Monday November 14th from 6:30-9:30pm at the stylish Latin Quarter (www.lqny.com) nightclub and lounge located at 511 Lexington Avenue in midtown Manhattan. Besides being able to sample some of the finest and rarest spirits in the world, winners will also feast on a wide variety of delectable foods such as Latasian Fajitas, Sugar Cane Shrimp, Papitas Rellanas, and Bamboo steamed shrimp dumplings.

The Grand Prize winner will also be presented with a gift basket containing everything required to throw the perfect caipirinha party. The gift basket will include a bottle of Fazenda Mae De Ouro, caipirinha glasses, muddlers, limes, sugar and several CD’s of Brazilian music (retail value $100). 25 Second Prizes of an authentic Brazilian muddler made of farm-raised eucalyptus wood (retail value $6.50) will also be awarded.

No purchase necessary. Open to US residents of legal drinking age. Limited to one entry per household. Entry deadline is Saturday November 11th, 2005 10pm Eastern Standard Time.
